About the author
Christopher Gazdic is the Director of Engineering at Shattuc Cord Specialties. Chris is a member of the National Systems Contractors Association and is part of the committee on the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. Chris has extensive knowledge and history in commercial audio/visual, professional live sound engineering and television production. Before working at Shattuc, Chris played a vital role as one of the main process and product engineers at Gepco International and the General Cable Gepco Brand. Chris didn’t start his broadcast career at Gepco though, while attending Columbia College Chicago for Audio Arts and Acoustics, Chris freelanced on the side for various major networks, studios and mobile production companies. One of the jobs resulted in a certificate of appreciation from the White House Communications Agency. Chris continues to freelance on the side for various productions and also co-owns a small live sound company.
