Chief Manufacturing (Chief Mfg. Co) has been a market leader in racks, mounts, and accessories for displays, projectors, TVs, and a wide variety of other AV components since 1978. Founded by Bob “Chief” Brantly, Chief was founded when Bob introduced the original Roll, Pitch, and Yaw adjustments for projectors, making projector registration easy. Shortly after that, Chief came out with Slide Projector Stackers.
From those humble beginnings, Chief has grown into automated mounts, in-wall mounting solutions, the first-ever seismic-rated wall mounts, and other products, offering total support solutions for presentation systems. Headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN, Chief is now owned by LegrandAV, a leading specialist in electrical and building infrastructures. Other broadcast and Pro AV brands currently owned by Legrand are Da-Lite, Middle Atlantic, Projecta, Sanus, and Vaddio.
Chief’s Display mounts include in-wall, wall, floor-cart, on-display, pole, ceiling, and desk-tabletop style mounts. Their ConnexSys™ family of mounts is Chief’s latest solution, designed to solve common installation problems and save time. The system allows the ability to level multiple mounts in a single row all at once. The Impact™ On-Wall Portrait Kiosk system has a depth adjustable exterior frame, allowing for a variety of displays to be used.
Chief’s Monitor Arms & Mounts catalog includes applications from wall, floor-cart, pole, furniture, and desk-tabletop mounting systems. The Kontour™ Series is a solution for efficient, ergonomic workspaces to increase efficiency and improve employee wellness. Mounting for iPads and other tablets is available as well.
Whiteboard mounting solutions are perfect for retrofitting classrooms and other workspaces with interactive whiteboards over existing chalkboards or dry erase boards. These solutions are compatible with a wide variety of SMAT™ products as well as many projectors and other interactive board manufacturers.
