Description
This is the perfect panel for rugged broadcast Ethernet installations and applications (8 to 24 EtherCon bulkhead connectors). These panels can be configured for three performance levels: CAT5e (1Gb/s), CAT6 (Enhanced 1Gb/s) and CAT6a (10Gb/s). Actual data rates and overall performance determined by panel type (feed-through versus punch-down [IDC]). For optimal performance the punch-down panels (connectors) are recommended (standard IDC punch tool required—not included). The feed-through style panels (connectors) are convenient and offer plug-and-play installation advantages—but the channel performance is reduced (especially at the higher data rates).
Each panel type can be configured with 8 to 24 EtherCon connectors:
