Platinum Tools was founded in 1997 based on two simple objectives; to develop and source the absolute best solutions for the preparation, installation, and termination of wire and cable, and to implement an infrastructure to deliver those products efficiently, timely, and with the upmost quality. Platinum Tools is the creator of the EZ-RJ45® connectors, the industry standard for easy termination of category 5e, 6, and 6A cables. Platinum’s EZ-RJ45® connector simplifies twisted pair terminations by allowing the wires to go through the connector and out the front of the connector prior to termination. This allows easy verification that the wires are in the proper order. Electrical performance is optimized with this unique style of connector by pulling the connector down over the cable jacket and seating it tightly in the rear of the connector. All EZ-RJ45® connectors are UL listed, RoHS compliant, made in the USA, and feature 50-micron gold contacts. The connectors accept both solid and stranded conductors in multiple AWG sizes, 23 and 24AWG being the most popular.

To compliment Platinum Tools’ line of EZ-RJ45® connectors, they also manufacture strain reliefs and boots. These products are compatible with every typical size of Category 5e, 6, and 6A cables. Other connectors available include Cat6A 10gig connectors, coax connectors, coax adapters, and telecom splicing connectors.

A comprehensive line of crimpers is offered to compliment the EZ-RJ45® line of products. Other styles of crimpers manufactured by Platinum include standard RJ45 crimpers, Cat6A/10Gig crimpers, AMP® crimpers, coax crimpers, and universal crimp tools.

Platinum also manufactures network and cable testers to complement their connectors. The Net Chaser™, and Net Prowler™ testers offer a complete solution to test and speed certify the data-carrying capabilities of ethernet cables. Other test equipment available includes fault locators, cable tracing, telcom test sets, electrical testers, and more.

More ethernet infrastructure is supported with Platinum Tools’ comprehensive line of patch panels, keystone jacks, wall plates and more. Patch panels come in standard 12, 24, and 48 port configurations. Platinum even manufactures waterproof RJ45 housings for rugged environments. Keystone jacks are available up to Cat6A specifications.

Strippers and cutters are available for everything from twisted pairs, coax strippers, traditional wire strippers, multi strippers, and even fiber strippers. All stripping tools are manufactured using high quality, high impact plastic for long lifecycles. The fiber striper line of products is a 5-in-1 solution that works for 250-micron coatings, 900 micron buffers, and 2-3mm outside jackets.

Cable management products perfectly compliment Platinum Tools’ product line, and include everything from standard J-hooks, high performance J-hooks with a “snap-lock” retainer, bridle rings, and more. Platinum’s Xtender Pole™ is a multi-purpose telescoping pole with interchangeable heads for installing eye lag screws, ceiling wire, J-Hooks, and jack chain, all from the safety of the job floor with no need for ladders, scaffolding, or scissorlifts.
